We are putting in the late nights to connect the dots between art and beauty these days. It's not easy to beat this dead horse with a nail file!

We will be premiering our first infomercial at Volta-Fair in Basel Switzerland next week, from the 8th-13th. We are also offering beauty services to supplement the slick contemporary art. Come to our Brooklyn style salon next to the lecture auditorium. We will be offering all sorts of new products and services. Historical art educational manicures, tattoos, and occasional poetry will be performed.

Please come visit us at Volta from 1-3pm or 6-8pm from June 8-13!

Swoon Event: Serenissima Fundraiser at Secret Project Robot

Our first performance of live, site specific, educational beauty services happened on Saturday March 12 at Secret Project Robot. We wore our new 'cigarette box' style mobile beauty parlors, where we stored our beauty supplies. We made tattoos, poems, and manicures based on the art in the gallery or on the images in our mobile art historical library kit.
Earnings breakdown:
5 tattoos: $27
4 manicures: $22
We covered the cost of our materials!

TABS at MoMA: a flop in the cafe, a kashkow in the Kippenberger.

On Friday, March 20 T.A.B.S. made their debut at MoMA. We offered site specific fine art tattoos, dada surrealist poems, and Kippenberger manicures. Starting in the cafe with our photographer, we felt a cold shoulder from our potential 'clients'. We learned our lesson: people don't want to be bothered while they eat.
The rebound: Moving on, we managed to dig up some clients in the Mondrian room. Cassie took her manicure kit on the road after lunch so she could go teach some art classes, while Maya stayed on to earn $27 in the Kippenberger installation.

$1 for 1 word
Maximum tip: $5/ 1 poem
Average tip: $3/ poem
